The Southeastern Conference announced on Apr. 15 that the Texas Longhorns men’s swimming and diving team earned 13 selections across the All-SEC and All-Freshman teams to close out the 2025-26 season.
The recognition highlights a strong performance by Texas athletes, reflecting their achievements at both conference and national levels during the year.
Selections for the All-SEC Teams are based on results from the SEC Championships: First Team members are top finishers in each event, Second Team includes second-place finishers, and Third Team consists of third-place finishers. The All-Freshman Team is made up of redshirt or true freshmen who finished in the top eight or were the highest-scoring freshman in each event at SEC Championships, excluding relays.
Texas secured its 47th consecutive conference title at this year’s SEC Championships, winning nine gold medals and reaching the podium in a total of twenty events. Head coach Bob Bowman led Texas to this conference crown in his second year with the program. The Longhorns now hold a record of sixty-eight total conference titles spanning three leagues: thirty-eight Southwest Conference titles, twenty-eight Big 12 titles, and two SEC crowns.
In addition to their conference success, Texas won two consecutive NCAA Championships under Bowman’s leadership. Bowman has now claimed three straight national titles dating back to his championship with Arizona State in 2024. At nationals, Longhorn swimmers captured individual victories in four events: the 800 freestyle relay, as well as individual wins in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, and 400 individual medley (IM).
Athletes named to this year’s All-SEC First Team include Rafael Fente-Damers, Nate Germonprez, Hubert Kós, Rex Maurer, Will Modglin, Baylor Nelson and Camden Taylor. Garrett Gould and Nick Harris were selected for Second Team honors; Campbell McKean and Kyle Peck earned Third Team spots; while Fente-Damers and McKean also appeared on the All-Freshman list.
