The University of Texas baseball team lost to No. 18 Texas A&M by a score of 11-4 at Blue Bell Park on April 11, in front of an announced crowd of 7,812 fans.

The game was delayed for over an hour and a half due to rain, which paused play in the bottom of the first inning. When play resumed, Texas A&M took control with an eight-run inning that proved decisive.

The Aggies built their lead with key hits from Bear Harrison, who hit a two-run double, and Gavin Grahovac, who followed with a bases-clearing triple. Caden Sorrell then added another run with a double to right center field. The Aggies’ offense capitalized on opportunities late in the first inning after being one out away from limiting the damage.

For Texas, Aiden Robbins had another strong individual performance despite the loss. Robbins recorded his third career multi-homer game and his second in as many contests. He hit solo home runs in both the third and eighth innings and also drove in a run during the opening frame. Josh Livingston contributed another run for Texas with a solo home run in the fifth inning.

On the mound, Gabriel Lyons secured his fifth win of the season for Texas A&M by pitching over four innings in relief while allowing just one run and striking out five batters. Luke Harrison started for Texas but was charged with the loss after throwing 44 pitches during the pivotal first inning.

The teams are scheduled to conclude their series Sunday afternoon at Blue Bell Park.
