During the past week, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) led a human trafficking operation in El Paso, Texas, aimed at individuals soliciting prostitution. The operation resulted in the arrest of 11 men on charges of solicitation of prostitution, which is classified as a state jail felony.

The DPS Criminal Investigations Division was joined by several partner agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the El Paso Police Department, United States Army CID, and the District Attorney’s Office for the 34th Judicial District. These agencies assisted in conducting the investigation and supporting law enforcement activities during the operation.

DPS Special Agents have also identified additional suspects as a result of this effort and have opened new investigations into their activities.

“Operations like this one highlight the department’s continued collaboration with our law enforcement partners to keep Texas communities safe,” said DPS West Texas Region Chief Jose Sanchez.
