Texas Beach Volleyball, ranked No. 4, will travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to participate in the Death Volley Invitational at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium on March 20 and 21. The Longhorns are scheduled to face four ranked opponents: No. 9 California, No. 10 Arizona State, No. 12 LSU, and No. 16 Grand Canyon.

The event is significant as Texas recently climbed to the No. 4 spot in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll after securing three wins at the East Meets West Invitational. During that tournament, Texas defeated No. 9 Loyola Marymount, No. 10 California, and No. 13 Hawai’i.

Entering the invitational with a record of 10-4 overall and a strong showing of nine wins against ranked teams this season, Texas has also recorded four sweeps so far in the year.

The matchups begin Friday with Texas facing LSU at 1:00 p.m., where Texas leads the series history 1-0 following a win last April. Later that day at 4:45 p.m., they play Arizona State with whom they are tied in their all-time series; Texas won their last meeting in March of last year.

On Saturday, Texas will take on Grand Canyon at 10:30 a.m., holding a slight edge in their series history after winning earlier this month. The final matchup is against California at 3:00 p.m., where Texas leads the series and most recently secured a close victory just days ago.
