Texas Baseball will open a top-15 series against Alabama at UFCU Disch-Falk Field on April 16, featuring special events for fans. The evening will include Longhorn Band Night and a postgame drone show, with gates opening at 5 p.m.
The matchup between No. 4 Texas and No. 11 Alabama is expected to draw significant attention from fans, with organizers encouraging early arrival for an enhanced game day experience. Live in-game entertainment and additional activities are planned to create what the team describes as one of the most energetic atmospheres of the season.
The University of Texas Longhorn Band will perform throughout the game as part of Longhorn Band Night, bringing traditional music that aims to add excitement and pageantry for attendees. After the final out, a drone show is scheduled to take place approximately five minutes after the game’s conclusion, offering an aerial display celebrating Texas Baseball and school pride.
For students attending Friday’s game, access to the YETI Yard area beyond left-center field will be available on a first-come, first-served basis with valid student identification. Access to the Built Ford Tough Tailgate area will be limited that night for participants in UT Student Spirit Group Appreciation Night but both areas are set to reopen for all fans on Saturday.
Fans arriving early can benefit from Happy Hour pricing on beer through the playing of the national anthem. Advance tickets through Texas Athletics have sold out; those still seeking tickets are directed to SeatGeek, which serves as Texas Athletics’ official fan-to-fan marketplace. Parking without permits can be secured in advance via ParkMobile.
The event reflects ongoing efforts by Texas Baseball organizers to enhance fan engagement during high-profile matchups.
