The University of Texas announced on May 1 that the start time for Friday’s baseball game between No. 4 Texas and No. 10 Mississippi State has been changed because of inclement weather. The series opener will now begin at 7:30 p.m. at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Officials from Texas said they are monitoring the weather and may provide more updates if necessary. They encouraged fans to check the team’s official website for further schedule changes.

All tickets purchased for Friday’s game remain valid, according to the announcement. Fans who cannot attend have the option to use the “Share Your Texas” ticket program.

The adjustment highlights how weather can impact sporting events and emphasizes efforts by organizers to keep fans informed about changes.

As officials continue to watch conditions, additional updates will be posted online if needed.
