The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Benjamin Song to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List. Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to his arrest, while the Federal Bureau of Investigation is also offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to Song’s arrest and conviction.

Benjamin Hanil Song, 32, is wanted in connection with an attack on July 4, 2025, at the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas. During this incident, an Alvarado Police Officer was shot. Johnson County has issued warrants against him for aggravated assault on a public servant, aiding terrorism, and engaging in organized crime. Additionally, a federal arrest warrant has been issued by the United States District Court in the Northern District of Texas after charges were filed against Song for attempted murder of a federal officer and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.

Song is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has connections to Dallas County, including Dallas and Addison. A Blue Alert concerning Song was issued on Wednesday evening.

Texas Crime Stoppers provides cash rewards funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office for information that leads to arrests from the Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives lists. In 2025 alone, DPS and other agencies have arrested 36 individuals from these lists, resulting in $28,000 in rewards being distributed for tips that led to arrests.

To qualify for cash rewards from Texas Crime Stoppers:

All tips remain anonymous regardless of submission method; tipsters receive a tip number instead of using their name.

DPS investigators collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives for inclusion on the lists of Texas’ Most Wanted Fugitives.
