U.S. Senator Ted Cruz was sworn into the 119th Congress, marking the beginning of his third term representing Texas. During the ceremony, Cruz expressed his commitment to serving the state’s 31 million residents.

Cruz stated, “Representing the Great State of Texas in the United States Senate is the honor of a lifetime. I am deeply humbled and immensely privileged to fight every day for thirty-one million Texans.” He emphasized that his re-election reflects a “clear mandate from the American people” and outlined his priorities, which include securing borders, creating jobs, promoting American energy, defending liberties, restoring justice integrity, and defeating enemies.

The swearing-in ceremony was available for public viewing.
