Senator Ted Cruz, U.S. Senator from Texas and Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, shared updates on national policy issues and recent activities in a series of posts on August 19, 2025.

In a post published at 01:29 UTC, Cruz commented on U.S. involvement in an ongoing war, stating, “The American people are done with cutting a blank check for this war. It has gone on for long enough. It’s time for a negotiated peace that puts America First and ensures a loss for Russia.”

Later that day at 14:51 UTC, Cruz described his visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center alongside other officials. He wrote, “I recently joined @SecDuffy and @RepBrianBabin at JSC to tour a mockup of NASA’s Gateway, a critical component of our mission to return American astronauts to the Moon. As Chairman of @SenateCommerce, I worked relentlessly to secure funding for key elements of NASA’s Artemis”.

At 20:02 UTC the same day, Cruz highlighted education reform by sharing an article from the Washington Examiner: “The OBBB Act is one of the most significant shifts in education in decades | @dcexaminer”.
