The Club for Growth, the largest free market advocacy organization in the United States, presents the Defender of Economic Freedom Award to Members of Congress who score 90% or higher on votes cast in a year and maintain a lifetime rating of at least 90%. The organization's Congressional Economic Scorecard is widely regarded as the gold-standard for measuring the voting behavior of lawmakers.
