U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, is set to lead a nominations hearing for modal administrators of the Department of Transportation. The hearing will take place at 10:00 AM EST on July 16, 2025.

The nominees include Mr. Derek Barrs from Florida for Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Mr. Jonathan Morrison from California for Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and Mr. Paul Roberti from Rhode Island for Administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.

The full committee nominations hearing will be held in the Committee Hearing Room, Russell 253. It will be available via livestream on both the Committee’s website and YouTube.
