U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who chairs the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, is set to lead a nominations hearing on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The session, scheduled for 10:00 AM EST, will evaluate nominees for positions within the Federal Railroad Administration, Amtrak Board of Directors, and the Department of Commerce.
The nominees under consideration include Mr. David Fink of New Hampshire for Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration, Mr. David Fogel from Connecticut for Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General of the United States and Foreign Commercial Service, Mr. Pierre Gentin of New York for General Counsel of the Department of Commerce, and Mr. Robert Gleason from Pennsylvania as Director of the Amtrak Board of Directors.
