Roger Williams, a member of the United States Congress representing Texas’s 25th District since 2013, recently shared a series of messages on social media highlighting his views and activities. Williams, who succeeded Lloyd Doggett, has long been a proponent of small business growth and fiscal conservatism, as reflected in his recent online statements. Graduating from Texas Christian University with a BA, the 73-year-old currently resides in Weatherford, Texas.
On April 8, Williams emphasized the significance of small business success to the broader American economy. He stated, “When Main Street succeeds, the American economy succeeds.” Williams advocated for policy changes that would allow small businesses to reinvest earnings into growth rather than allocate them to government taxes. He urged the extension of the 2017 tax cuts initiated by the administration under President Trump to promote job creation, innovation, and economic prosperity.
The following day, Williams expressed his pride in representing Granbury, a part of Texas’s 25th District, by posting a simple, declarative tweet: “Proud to represent Granbury in #TX25!”
Later that day, Williams shared his experience at the WallBuilders Congressional Pastors’ Briefing. Showing his patriotic spirit, he stated, “Honored to speak at the WallBuilders Congressional Pastors’ Briefing this afternoon. May God continue to bless the United States of America!”
