Rep. Roger Williams, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 25th district, shared insights and updates through a series of tweets over the past week. Williams has been in office since 2013, succeeding Lloyd Doggett. Born in Evanston, Illinois in 1949, he now resides in Weatherford and holds a BA from Texas Christian University.
On May 15, Rep. Williams highlighted the significant impact of franchise businesses across the United States. He stated that “Across the US, there are an estimated 831,000 franchise businesses, employing nearly 9 million workers, and generating close to $900 billion.” He emphasized that when franchises thrive, so does the American economy.
The following day on May 16, Rep. Williams expressed his support for law enforcement with a brief statement: “I will always #BackTheBlue.”
