Rep. Chip Roy Press Office recently highlighted several issues and engagements involving Representative Chip Roy. Chip Roy is serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Texas’ 21st district since 2019, succeeding Lamar Smith. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and resides in Austin, Texas. Roy is an alumnus of the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin.
Later the same day Roy criticized what he described as “an irresponsible budget sent over to us from the Senate.” In his statement, Roy questioned when his political allies would start addressing spending seriously, noting that the House Budget endeavors to reach budget neutrality.
On the morning of April 10, Rep. Roy’s office issued a vote alert for the SAVE Act. Roy emphasized, “Let’s ensure that American elections are FOR American citizens,” urging support for the legislation.
Supported by his educational credentials with a BS from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Texas-Austin, Rep. Roy’s ongoing initiatives continue to engage constituents and address pressing legislative matters in Congress.
