Rep. Chip Roy, serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 21st district since 2019, has recently shared a series of tweets through his press office account. These tweets address significant national issues and policies, providing insight into his stance on law enforcement and healthcare.

On May 6, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy acknowledged a major achievement by law enforcement agencies. He stated: “Good work. The DOJ, DEA, and local law enforcement just made the LARGEST fentanyl bust in US history and SHUT DOWN a drug and weapons trafficking network linked to the Sinaloa cartel.” He concluded with a statement linking successful policies to a safer America.

Later that day, he criticized aspects of Obamacare and Medicaid expansion. According to his tweet from May 6, 2025: “Obamacare and Medicaid expansion have resulted in: – Longer wait times. – More emergency room visits. – Less access to the top cancer specialists.”

Chip Roy was born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and currently resides in Austin. He holds degrees from the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin.
