Chip Roy, serving as the representative of Texas’ 21st district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, has recently taken to social media to express his viewpoints on several key issues. Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and currently residing in Austin, Roy has shared his standpoints on topics ranging from immigration to environmental policies through a series of tweets.

On April 28, 2025, the Rep. Chip Roy Press Office posted a message with a firm stance on incarceration and deportation matters. The tweet stressed his viewpoint with the statement “Prison first. Deportation next.”

In another post made on the same day, the Press Office utilized a tweet to affirm the accuracy of certain claims or information. The message “Fact Check: True “ reaffirms the office’s support for verified facts and data.

Later in the day on April 28, the Press Office expressed a strong opposition to the Green New Deal through a brief tweet. The message ” Repeal the GREEN NEW SCAM.” indicated a firm position against this environmental initiative.

Chip Roy, a graduate with a BS from the University of Virginia in 1994 and a JD from the University of Texas-Austin in 2003, has continued to utilize his platform in Congress to voice his perspectives on national policies.
