On Wednesday, April 9, former Travis High School standout Joshua Shimmin’s current college team, the Lamar Cardinals, won 3-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions.

The game took place at Vincent-Beck Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Golden Lions this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 6 p.m. at Vincent-Beck Stadium against Nicholls State Colonels.
