Lamar Cardinals fall 14-11 to Stephen F. Austin with Joshua Shimmin on the mound

At 2:05 p.m. on Friday, March 6, the Lamar Cardinals, featuring former Travis High School standout Joshua Shimmin, were defeated 14-11 by the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks in NCAA Division I baseball action.

Jaycees Field hosted the contest, marking the teams’ first meeting this season.

Shimmin threw for 1.2 innings and issued one walk.

The Cardinals are set to play again on Friday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m. against Stephen F. Austin at Jaycees Field.
