On Sunday, April 13, former Travis High School standout Joshua Shimmin’s current college team, the Lamar Cardinals, won 16-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Nicholls State Colonels.

The game took place at Vincent-Beck Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Colonels this season.

The Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. at Don Sanders Stadium against Sam Houston Bearkats.
