Governor Greg Abbott has announced the reappointment of Aaron Pierce, Ph.D., to the Council on Sex Offender Treatment (CSOT). Pierce will serve a term that extends until February 1, 2029. The CSOT is responsible for setting standards for treatment and overseeing the licensing of providers in this field.

Aaron Pierce, based in Plano, serves as the president of Aaron Pierce PC and is also the clinical director at Clinical and Forensic Consulting Services located in Waco. He currently holds the position of chair at the Texas Council on Sex Offender Treatment. His professional affiliations include memberships with several organizations such as the American Psychological Association, American Psychology – Law Association, Society for Police and Criminal Psychology, and the International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology.

Dr. Pierce’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master of Arts from University of Mary Hardin Baylor, and a Doctorate from Capella University.
