Governor Greg Abbott has made appointments to the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board. Tony “Mark” Luna, Jr. and Clayton Ripley have been appointed, while Stephanie L. Robinson, Ph.D., has been reappointed. Their terms will expire on January 31, 2031. The board is responsible for tasks related to the education, ethics, and certification or licensing of real estate appraisers or appraiser trainees.
Tony “Mark” Luna, Jr., from Lubbock, serves as the managing director of Valbridge Property Advisors’ Lubbock Office. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
Clayton Ripley, based in Austin, is the vice president of HOLT Aerial and managing director and owner of Town Lake Capital Management. He also manages Buffalo Gap Capital Partners and BGCP Holdings. Ripley is affiliated with the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves as a board member and treasurer for the Texas Land Trust Council. Additionally, he is involved with All Saints Presbyterian Church as a member and usher. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University.
Stephanie L. Robinson, Ph.D., hails from McKinney and brings over two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and higher education consultant specializing in business and technology. She participates on several public and nonprofit boards focusing on workforce development, strategic innovation, and experiential learning initiatives. Her educational credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, along with a Master of Science and Doctorate in Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas.
These appointments await confirmation by the Senate.
