Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Chris Broom to the Aerospace and Aviation Advisory Committee. Broom’s term will expire on September 1, 2027. The committee plays a role in Texas’s economic development by aiding efforts to attract and maintain aerospace and aviation jobs and investments.

Chris Broom, based in Dallas, is the vice president of Commercial Training Solutions for Boeing Global Services. His previous experience includes a 27-year tenure at American Airlines, where he rose to managing director of Flight and Training Administration. He is involved with the USS Yorktown Association Board of Directors and serves as an executive sponsor for the North Texas chapter of the Boeing Veteran Engagement Team. Additionally, Broom has been active in leadership roles with the Susan G. Komen – Dallas Board of Directors and served on St. Mark’s School of Texas Alumni Board of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.
