East Central prevails 15-14 over Southwestern Oklahoma State in college baseball

Former Vandegrift High School standout Simon Baker’s college team, the East Central Tigers, claimed a 15-14 victory over the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs in an NCAA Division II baseball contest on Tuesday, March 10, at 2 p.m.

The NCAA matchup was played at Ken Turner Field and marked the Tigers’ first meeting with the Bulldogs this season.

Baker pitched 0.2 innings, giving up three earned runs and walking one batter.

The Tigers are set to take on Harding Bison next at Ken Turner Field on Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m.
