The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) recently seized cocaine valued at approximately $400,000 during a traffic stop in Webb County. This operation took place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, around 9:00 a.m. in Laredo.

A red Chevrolet pickup was stopped by DPS personnel when the Trooper noticed signs of criminal activity that warranted further investigation. The subsequent search led to the discovery of more than a dozen bundles of cocaine.

The incident underscores ongoing efforts by the DPS South Texas Region to combat drug trafficking in the area.
