The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) recently arrested two women for transporting a significant amount of cash during a traffic stop in Webb County, part of Operation Lone Star.

On June 23, a DPS Trooper pulled over a black 2017 GMC Acadia on Interstate 35 in Laredo due to a traffic violation. During the search of the vehicle, the trooper found three bundles of currency. Two bundles were located inside a purse and another was found inside a backpack. The total sum discovered amounted to $43,760.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by DPS to monitor and address illegal activities within the region.
