U.S. Senator John Cornyn from Texas has announced his support for John Ratcliffe’s confirmation as the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Ratcliffe, a former Congressman for Texas’ 4th congressional district and Director of National Intelligence, was confirmed to the position recently.
Senator Cornyn expressed his confidence in Ratcliffe, stating, “I’ve known John Ratcliffe for a number of years, even before he came to Congress, and worked closely with him as part of the Texas delegation. Throughout his time in elected office and as director of National Intelligence, John has fiercely advocated for our national security and defended the Trump administration. John is an outstanding pick by President Trump, and I was glad to support his nomination.”
Ratcliffe’s appointment marks another significant step in his career within national security roles. His previous experience includes serving as Director of National Intelligence under President Trump’s administration.
