U.S. Senator John Cornyn from Texas held a meeting with board members of the National Border Patrol Council to discuss strategies for enhancing border security. The discussion focused on infrastructure improvements, technology updates, and personnel increases along the southern border. The goal is to provide the necessary resources for effective border management.
Senator Cornyn acknowledged the contributions of Border Patrol agents and credited former President Trump’s efforts in securing the border. “Thanks to Border Patrol’s work and President Trump’s historic efforts to secure the border and enforce the laws on the books, southern border apprehensions are down nearly 95% from one year ago,” he stated.
Senator Cornyn serves on several key Senate committees, including Finance, Judiciary, Intelligence, Foreign Relations, and Budget.
