Cornyn remarked, “It’s been four days… since President Trump took the oath of office as the 47th President of the United States.” He praised Trump for taking steps to dismantle what he referred to as a “DEI regime” established by the previous administration.
The senator criticized DEI initiatives, claiming that they contradict American values. He stated, “DEI initiatives do the exact opposite of what they purport to do, and they fly directly in the face of everything that America stands for.”

Concluding his remarks, Cornyn highlighted an ideal vision for America: “This action by President Trump… is a return to the ideal that the United States of America should have always stood for… which is that [of] equal dignity and equal treatment of every American under law.”
