Rep. Chip Roy, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Texas’ 21st district, has been vocal on social media about his legislative priorities and concerns regarding governmental practices. In a series of tweets, he discusses collaboration with fellow lawmakers, potential reforms, and amendments to existing laws.

On January 23, 2025, Rep. Chip Roy expressed his collaboration with Senator Mike Lee on addressing what he describes as a “weaponized DOJ.” He stated that Americans have experienced targeting over the past four years and emphasized the need for congressional action to repeal certain laws such as the FACE Act. “Proud to be working with @BasedMikeLee again on this.”

Later that day, at 15:00 UTC, Roy advocated for measures to protect pro-life Americans from being targeted by future administrations. His call to action included a hashtag campaign aimed at repealing the FACE Act. “Chip Roy: Make Sure No Future President Can Target Pro-Life Americans”

In another tweet posted at 15:39 UTC on January 23, 2025, Rep. Roy proposed repealing the 16th Amendment of the United States Constitution. He suggested that historical funding methods through external taxation should be reconsidered over internal revenue collection. “I think we need to repeal the 16th Amendment”
