In a tweet posted at 14:47 UTC, Rep. Chip Roy Press Office succinctly stated “Jail first. Deportation next.” This statement reflects his stance on immigration policy.
Later that day at 17:22 UTC, another tweet highlighted a meeting with the New Braunfels Police Department officers where “Rep. Roy had a productive meeting with New Braunfels Police Department officers, discussing priority issues for TX-21 peace officers.” The post also expressed gratitude for law enforcement’s commitment to community safety during National Police Week.
At 17:46 UTC, the office tweeted about Medicaid reform, listing three points under the heading “Medicaid Reform Common Sense.” The tweet began by stating “1. Chip Roy has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Lamar Smith. Born in Bethesda, Maryland in 1972 and currently residing in Austin, he graduated from the University of Virginia and later earned a JD from the University of Texas-Austin.
