Chip Roy, a congressman representing Texas’ 21st district, has recently shared several tweets addressing key legislative and community issues. Roy has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 and resides in Austin, Texas. He is an alumnus of the University of Virginia and the University of Texas-Austin.

On April 23, 2025, Roy urged the passing of the SAVE Act. He highlighted a report that the Act would “require proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections and strengthen verification processes to ensure voter rolls only contained eligible citizen voters,” as reported by @DailySignal.

Later that day, Roy expressed appreciation for a meeting with @EROSanAntonio, an organization noted for their efforts in removing criminal aliens as well as combating human and drug trafficking within communities. Roy noted the honor of having a briefing with these individuals.

In the evening, he commented on the impact of human smuggling, declaring that “Human smugglers abuse the people they transport and spread misery across American communities.” Roy called for stringent legal penalties for those involved in smuggling illegal aliens.
