Austin to host 2026 NCAA tennis first and second round regionals

The NCAA announced on Apr. 28 that Austin will serve as the site for the first and second round regionals of the 2026 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships.

The event will bring together several collegiate tennis teams, providing an opportunity for athletes to compete at a high level and for fans to witness top-tier matches in Austin.

According to the schedule, matches will begin on Friday, May 1. The men’s competition starts with Southern Methodist University facing Princeton at 10 a.m., followed by Texas playing Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 1 p.m. Both matches will take place at the Texas Tennis Center, with live statistics and video available online.

On Saturday, May 2, women’s teams take center stage as Texas Tech faces Yale at 10 a.m., followed by Texas against Tarleton State at 1 p.m. The winners of Friday’s men’s matches will meet later that day at 4 p.m. All games are scheduled for the Texas Tennis Center with online coverage provided.

Sunday’s action concludes with the women’s regional final between Saturday’s winning teams at noon. Fans can follow live stats and video throughout all rounds of play.

This regional event is part of the broader NCAA championship structure designed to showcase collegiate talent across multiple sports.
